"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

While I see a truly justified point in your argument about male vs. female critiquing, I do not see a point in demeaning someone else's work because of it. Yea, it sucks that men just get shit thrown at them when we do the same thing that many women do - but why go and throw even more shit around when the world's already covered in it?
About so many of the other comments people left on your page: I'm sorry. I cant stand such hypocritical bullshit. People sit there and regurgitate crap about how this is a good, clean community - don't pollute it, blah blah blah... They can go fuck themselves... with people like them around - no way in hell is this any sort of functional community, much less a clean one. As I said, I don't think he (or anyone) should be giving bad critique out of spite. I can just relate with the discrimination he does it for. Still don't think it's right, but I understand. And although he may be extremely sarcastic, I actually appreciate the fact that he doesn't just fling around a bunch of shit, fuck, this sucks!, what a piece of crap, who gave YOU a camera?, you shouldn't be painting... that sort of thing. He may be mean, but at least he's not an asshole.

When it gets down to the smaller thoughts, it gets down to opinion. My opinion is that he said something demeaning. 'Though I also believe that he was far less of a jerk/asshole/etc than he is made out to be. I have seen some serious crap thrown around dev, so it may just be my previous experiences that make this out to be less than major. No, I don't think what he said was right/nice/constructive... but at the same time... No, I don't think he was just flaming for no reason.
